Winter Weight

Mood : rejuvenated

Everyone knows how stressful the holidays can be. And if you’re like me, when you’re stressed or emotional you eat. So needless to say, you might gain some extra weight this holiday season. Luckily, you can manage that stress and keep your weight down! It’s all about how you organize your life. Instead of becoming overwhelmed by the huge amount of stuff you have to do, just break it down. Think: Monday I’ll clean first, shop after and then cook dinner. I’ll save the rest for Tuesday. This way everything seems more pleasant and you’ll have the time and energy to spend with your family, which is what the holiday season is about anyway!

However, if you do find yourself stressing over errands and chores try taking some time for yourself with an at home mini spa. Just light some scented candles (tip: lavender is a relaxing scent, while jasmine is sensual. Orange or citris will give you energy and minty scents help relieve stress) hop in a hot bath and take your time. If you feel fatigued use a bath scrub with some coffee in it to energize you- it smells amazing and it’s great for the skin too! After your bath, give yourself a pedicure and treat yourself to a facial. I find it so relaxing to moisturize my face with a mask after a long day. Give these stress-reliving tricks a try and maybe this holiday season will actually be a relaxing one!

Be a Fall Fashionista!

It’s the fall season and if your anywhere but Florida, it’s starting to get chilly! So what to wear, what to wear? Luckily, I know! I’ve got some of the hottest trends for this fall season right here! First of all, the cold weather is all about knitwear. Monochromatic colors seem to be in this season so layer up some sweaters and belt it together for a punch of style. For some great ideas check out elle.com’s knitwear fashion show. Second of all, no fashionista can survive without a classic trench coat to keep you warm and dry. Try finding one with a unique pattern or color that matches your style; this will make your outfit your own. As for your accessories, use metallic’s and color to add some spice to your clothes. All in all, try to stick to the classics by buying things you can save and wear season after season without looking out of date. Oh and remember, even though its cold you can still look AMAZING!
